About Joey Guerra
I am Joey Guerra, the VP of Engineering at Kaizen I/O, a software development company based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In this role, I am responsible for designing and implementing solutions that integrate with the existing world, eliminate overburden and inconsistency, and automate with a human touch. My focus areas include Microsoft Office integration, software deployment pipelines, Kubernetes training and enablement, and Tuckman training for software engineering teams. I also specialize in distributed systems design, architecture, training, and implementation, leveraging the concept of a Ledger (Redis Streams) to solve various business challenges.
Prior to my current role, I have held various positions in the tech industry, honing my skills and expertise in software development and engineering. I have experience in inventory management, supply chain modernization, and business observability, and have a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex problems and improve processes. I am also a strong believer in the power of mentorship and have actively mentored and trained engineers throughout my career.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and indulging in my hobbies, which include hiking, reading, and playing chess. I am also an advocate for Plato's philosophy of continuous learning and strive to constantly improve and grow in my personal and professional life. With my experience, knowledge, and passion for mentorship, I am always looking for opportunities to make a positive impact and help others reach their full potential.
